Bandar Al-Romaih, a young aspiring Saudi artist, started his independent interior design business back in January 2010. Studying interior design in American InterContinental University in London, his ambition and passion in design led him to pursue the arts as a career, which allowed him to express his creativity and share it with the rest of the world. Bandar Design boutique is nothing like anything you have ever seen before.
The theme of the boutique fascinates all who enter; it’s a combination of classic antique, with a touch of seventies and hints of modern.Transforming elements from their organic states, nature and music play prominent roles in his designs, by molding unpolished or unrefined materials in a chaotically beautiful way.
The sum of Bandars creations has evolved through a mixture of Pop Arts’cheerful colors, vintage style glamour, and finishes of luxury. Every piece of art he either acquires or produces has an edge. The classical paintings are refreshed with hints of bright colors, French photography adorns printed cushions and Arabic traditional designs engulf chairs. Bandar’s style has to be seen to be believed; with influences ranging from rebellious punk to classic rock & roll, it’s obvious that Andy Warhol is Bandar’s ultimate art guru. With his creativity knowing no limits, Bandar will always transcend expectations.
His designs break from traditional and dull into fascinating creative pieces; his works are spontaneous, daring and original. For example, the pendant lamp that Bandar designed, which looks like three wooden boxes from the outside but the powerful bright lights in yellow, red and lime really make a statement. Another creation from Bandar’s mind is the antique sofa set. The set is mindblowing because at first sight you would think that it’s white but it’s actually not. The seating and the back of the sofa are transparent; you can see the cotton padding through it. Moreover, the arms and frames of the sofa set are pure unprocessed wood.
Every piece Bandar designs is made and constructed here in Saudi Arabia, which increases each piece’s value and originality. Furthermore, Bandar Al-Romaih welcomes any artist who wants to work with him or display their work in Bandar Design showroom.
Visiting Bandar boutique is an inspiring experience, you will find yourself scrupulously inspecting every detail in order to absorb the many ideas the space has meshed together. The boutique doesn’t only offer art to see but also to feel and appreciate, leaving you mesmerized. Vintage wallpapers, unique home accessories and one of
a kind furniture are just a few guilty pleasures one will encounter. In this little corner in Jeddah, Bandar Designs office and showroom stands as a piece of art, which will leave any visitor stunned by the creative worlds of vintage, classic and modern that have been brought together.
